Oh my...wouldn't this be adorable binding a special baby quilt?
This Minny Muu fabric was too sweet to pass up at the fabric store. It also has a good mix of some basic colors, so it will match well with lots of other prints.
And look what else I made with it--tiny pink kitty buttons!

When I go to the fabric store, if there's time to browse I almost always look for prints that will work well for binding.
Most of them are have too large a print, but this one from the Woodland Spring collection from Riley Blake was just right for making into quilt binding. This binding is sold out, but you can view more quilt binding in this section.

Last month someone asked me to make some black and white striped binding. It seemed like such an easy request--I'd just pop on over to the fabric store and find the black and white stripes!
Uh, no, it didn't quite work that way, and I walked out of the store with NO striped fabric.
So last week when I saw this black and cream stripe, I made sure to get some while the getting was good. This fabric has a touch of brown along the edge of the black stripes that gives it a neat antiqued look.
