Sample Sale - Patchwork Half Pint Mason Jar Bag (sold)

The next sample sale item is this adorable patchwork bag. This will fit a half pint jar so it's pretty small. Of course, you don't have to use it for a jar and I use this size bag to carry powder, lipgloss, and a few other cosmetics in my purse.

The only problem is the person who created this pattern has been "on break" for many months now so maybe she's not coming back to etsy?  I've noticed it hasn't been available for a long, long time now. I think you can still message her on etsy and maybe she'll get back to you.

Sample Sale - Orchard Grocery Bag (Sold)

A couple more sample sale items are available because it's time for me to move to a new space and of course, I have too much stuff! 

First up is this Grocery Bag in a fun, fruity cotton/linen blend fabric from Cotton + Steel. 

The lining is a dark pink pink gingham.

I just adore making these patchwork pincushions and these blue ones are just so divine.

Sample Sale - Denim Grocery Bag (Sold)

The next sample sale item is a denim Grocery Bag lined in the topographic map print from Riley Blake's National Parks collection.  

This is the large size in the Grocery Bag pattern and it's made from a very nice dark, dark blue denim fabric. 

For the denim bags, I almost always use topstitching thread to give them a hint of some color.  It also nicely outlines the handles and top of the bag.

If you are making your own bags and want to do this too, try Sulky's Cotton12 thread. It's about 2x as thick as regular polyester sew-all thread, but still easy to use in your machine. Use a topstitching needle (bigger eye) and make sure the bobbin race is clean.

The next sample sale item is a card size zipper pouch made from a vintage cotton fabric.  

It will hold quite a few credit, debit, gift, or reward cards. The lining is a black and white quilting cotton and the zip pull is made from black glass beads.

Sample Sale - Colorful Cats Project Tote (Sold)

This bag is the medium Grocery Bag but made with the body divided into two fabrics. The cat fabric is from a collection called Katie's Cats and the handles and fabric at the bottom are a light weight dark blue denim. 

This bag was meant to be a project tote for knitters so it has two pocket panels spanning the width of the lining. There is stitching dividing the pocket panels into some smaller sections. This bag turned out super nice!  It's weighty, sturdy, cute, colorful, and it has cats.
