Chambray is one of my favorite fabrics--especially the ones with lots and lots of texture like this one from Robert Kaufman's House of Denim collection.
I almost always have some chambray available in my stash and I've always got my eyes peeled for more of this versatile fabric with the perfect texture. So when I saw this one from Robert Kaufman, I had to have it because it's just sweet, sweet chambray perfection!
So far I've made two things with this fabric--the Origami butterfly above (see making info for these butterflies in this blog post), and the quilt binding below. It would also make nice summer weight clothing like skirts or shirts, cloth napkins, cafe curtains, pajama bottoms, quilt backing, etc.
If you'd like to order the pre-made binding, it is available here or here on etsy. On etsy, you might not see the quantity drop down until it is in the cart. Etsy seems to go back and forth with where they show the quantity available and right now--at least for me--it isn't showing on the item listing. But I can make any length of the binding for you! I have almost a whole bolt, after all (at least for now...).
