Made some more zipper pouches...
This size/shape is one of my favorites to make and that's probably because I have one of these and I adore it! It lives in my bathroom and holds my manicure tools, tweezers and some other small items. It's on the counter in a basket so I see it all the time and it just makes me happy to look at it because it's beautiful and useful--always the best combination.
This long, skinny pouch is also great for pens & erasers, crochet hooks, or small sewing tools like awls, pens, chalk markers, seam gauges, needle packages or containers, etc.
There were three of these, but one has sold. The two shown above can be ordered here. Sold out, but watch this section for more of these pouches.
The exterior fabric is a barkcloth fabric called Elaine by Gertrude Made for Ella Blue Fabrics.
Instructions for the zip pull are here. The pouch is the no. 13 template in this document (no instructions).
The lining is one of the Railroad Denim fabrics (or House of Denim--not sure which are which or if they are the same thing) and like most denim, it goes with everything. I've used it inside a number of projects where I didn't have a matching quilting cotton print to use for lining.
The lining is stitched to 8 oz canvas interlining to add some weight and structure without a lot of bulk.
