Last year I didn't get around to posting some sample sale items until 2017 was almost over, so let's see if I can do better this year!
This sample (sold out - thanks!) is Size 2 from the Double Zip Tool Pouches pattern. It's a nice size for storing pens, rotary cutters, crochet hooks, small acrylic templates, etc.
The exterior fabric is this cotton canvas from Cosmo Textiles and the lining is this gingham check from Maywood Studios.

There are two new scrap bags in my etsy shop and this time the bags are smaller because the scraps have been split into floral/fruit prints and polka dots. These bags are sold out, but check this section to see if any others are available.
Usually these bags of quilting cotton prints are 2 ounces with no repeats. One probably sneaks in now and then, but I try!
This time it just didn't work out for no repeats, but 1 ounce of floral prints and fruit prints was doable, so those are in this bag and then the other is all polka dots. I have a lot of polka dot scraps and not nearly as much variety of prints and colors as the florals, so there are repeats in the polka dot bag.

I've made the fabric bandages before and they are super easy and turn out really cute. The edges do fray, but by the time they get too ratty, it's time to change the bandage anyway.
The links to blog posts about organizing scraps are also internet gold! Scraps can pile up and make a mess of your sewing room and then you might just want to toss the whole lot (and sometimes do...) if it gets too frustrating. Keeping them sorted will make a big difference in keeping your sewing sanity.

Look what's back! This is Farmdale Blossom from the Alexander Henry Vault and it is a reprint of a well loved fabric from 5+ years ago. Many of us have been dreaming of the day this print would come back around, and here it is now.
There's one fat eighth of this available in my etsy shop here. If you are looking for yardage, try here or here for the blue. This print also comes in tomato and grey.
I like this print so much in blue, I needed it in pink too! This is called Floral Toss as far as I can tell. It's from the Helen's Meadow Collection by Helen Dardik for Clothworks.

This adorable itty bitty cherry print is from the Tiny Happy Lucky collection by Cynthia Frenette for Robert Kaufman.

The last new fat eighth is a print called Tiny Crosses from the Hello Blossom collection by Leanne Beasley for Ella Blue.
Ella Blue is a newer fabric company--or maybe it's just new to us in the US? It's based in Australia and it's only recently that it began crossing my fabric radar.
I can't find yardage of this print, or others from this collection, on etsy. Which is unfortunate because there are a few other sweet prints in this collection! Maybe the bolts haven't been distributed to etsy shops yet, or there could be something up with etsy search (they constantly test and tweak it...oy, make it stop). In the meantime, google will probably show you where else it can be found online.

Here is the first of what I hope are many, many more Grocery Bags in 2018. It never seems to get old making these bags. It definitely helps that they are endlessly useful and so quick to make. Adding some variety by making patchwork ones and divided ones also keeps it interesting for me.
