Raking my yard was on my agenda yesterday, but it's been too hot here lately! When it's 70 degrees in November it feels hot. Normally I don't mind raking my postage stamp sized yard, and do it every few days. But earlier in the week when I picked up the leaves, the sun beating down on me made me feel overheated, so yesterday I went to Fabric Depot instead. Any excuse will do...
I hadn't been there in a few weeks, so there were some new prints to covet and I also noticed a few I have/had in my stash are coming back around. One of them is the print pictured above. This is called Flower Drift and is from Michael Miller. Here's my 2010 blog post about this print and a Strap Clutch I made in 2011 with this fabric:
This print has always had a special place in my sewing heart because it's quirky and kind of retro, and also has a lot of different colors, which makes it perfect for patchwork. I'm pleased to discover it has been reincarnated in a new collection!
