I've been offering quilting cotton scraps off and on for many years now because with the volume of fabric I have and how much sewing I do, they really start to add up! Even though I use a lot of them, it's just not possible for me to keep up with the scrap proliferation. Now I'm branching out and offering some other collections of scraps/small fabric pieces.
Slowly I've added denim, stripes, and linens. Right now I'm sold out of all of those, but yesterday I added cotton lawn to the mix and one bag is available here. This bag is sold, but watch this link for the next one.
Cotton lawn is one of my favorite fabrics. It's very tightly woven cotton and some of them are very fine and feel like silk.
Because it's on the sheer side I use it most often for lining fabrics. If you apply fleece to muslin and then put that on the WS you'll have a very nice lining. I've also used for accessories now and then, but recommend using it for small items, or things with lots of seaming. It can be interfaced, but still won't have a lot of body.
See more photos of this collection of scraps here. Additional photos can also be seen in my instagram stream.
