Sample Sale - Zip Top Pouch (sold)

Here's a cute little pouch that is available as a sample.  Sold - Thanks! 

This was made sometime last year, and there isn't a pattern for this particular pouch.  I was going to make pattern pieces for zipper pouches with darts, but it hasn't happened (yet?). 

The exterior fabric is called Vera's Garden and it's from a Robert Kaufman collection from 2010 (?), and it's now OOP.  The inside is lined in James Thompson ticking in petal.

This pouch is about 5.5" wide x 3.25" high x 1.5" deep x 4.5" zipper opening.

P.S. There are a few smaller scraps of the fabric used for this pouch, along with some larger pieces of the blue colorway of this print, in this scrap bag. 

 

Zip Top Pouch

Today's sewing goal was to finish this pouch I started yesterday. 

This is size 5 from the Intro to Improv Zip Pouches pattern made from James Thompson charcoal ticking and a mystery floral print.  The lining is from the Chrysalis collection by Moda back in 2011.

The zipper is a Coats & Clark Kiwi zipper.  I also like YKK zippers, but there are a two colors Coats does best in zippers--Kiwi and Parakeet, which is a dark turquoise blue. 

Of course, I needed to top it off with a fabric zip pull.  Instructions for how to make this zip pull are here.

Sample Sale - Box Bottom Pouch (Sold)

Wow, it's been a reaaaallly long time since I've done sample sale post, because who knows why.  I forgot about them, I guess!

This pouch is from a few years ago and I never made a pattern for it, because the intention was for it to be a phone pouch, but I couldn't get the box bottom small enough to make it fitted enough for a phone. 

But it's still a neat pouch and will be good for other purposes, or maybe you want to put your phone and something else inside, that would work too.

It measures about 5.25" high x 2.75" wide x 1" deep.
