One of the things I made/finished this week is this pouch made from denim scraps left over from making skirts, and a print from Riley Blake's Back Yard Roses collection. The red topstitching is Jeans Stitch thread and the pouch is Size 2 from the Intro to Improv Zip Pouches pattern.

These zipper pouches are great for scraps, and I'm always happy to put some denim scraps to good use! You probably already know this about me, but I keep almost all my scraps. I can't stand to throw them out because they are all useful. But of course literally keeping them all is unsustainable as far as storage goes, so I do offer them in my etsy shop. Right now there are denim scraps, linen scraps, and some quilting cotton scraps.

The lining for this pouch is a Denyse Schmidt print called Daisy Mae Bricks. You might not recognize it as DS because this print wasn't widely available in the US for some reason. How the fabric is distributed is a mystery to me. I do know that Australia will get some designer prints we don't get here in the US, but then some of it makes it here anyway.
