If you ever wonder how I get all this stuff sewn (sometimes I do too), it's literally baby steps. I go in spurts and cut a bunch of things out while I'm feeling in the mood. Then I slowly begin doing small things to work towards getting them finished. My main challenge is not losing the parts before they become the whole!

Two spools of this lovely silver metallic thread have been added to my etsy shop. This is Candlelight thread from YLI, the company that makes the Jeans Stitch thread.
Candlelight is metallic yarn and it's designed to be used as decorative serger thread (use in the loopers), but it can also be used for bobbin work, machine couching, serger fringe and serger braid. It's also good for sashiko or other hand stitching, weaving and needle punch embroidery.

This morning I needed a quick sewing project so I made size 1 from the Card Wallets pattern.
The floral fabric is Ava from Michael Miller and the stripe is from Waverly. The striped fabric is a home dec print and it's wonderful, but it also came with a heavy finish that felt tacky to the touch.
So it sat in my stash for a long time because I knew it might not survive the wash. But I also didn't want to use it with the finish. Finally, I took the chance and washed it, and it feels much better and it wasn't a total loss! About a 1/4 of it is faded and I'll eventually cut that part off and toss it.

One new scrap bag is available in my etsy shop.
There are always a few rare/OOP/difficult to find pieces in the scrap bags. Those bunnies are a 2008 Aunt Grace Scrap Bag print. The chicken print below if from Daisy Kingdom circa 2002ish. The hearts at the top are from Stof.

For this bag I used the heart print as my guide. This print is from Stof and I picked it up at Fabric Depot.
