The Card Wallets pattern is what I think of as one of my 1-hour patterns. But sometimes my perception of time doesn't exactly coincide with reality. So it was time to do a reality check and I was happy to see it actually only took me 38-minutes!
The 38-minutes also included some extra time fiddling around with the vintage button. The holes in these vintage star buttons (from this etsy shop) are on the small side, so after a false start, I realized a beading needle was the only way to get the job done.
The floral fabric is a print from Sevenberry. It's one of my favorite prints. It just does it for me and has some special sparkle for me. It was purchased at Bolt about 4-years ago, and can be found online here.
The stripe print for the strap is from Robert Kaufman's Railroad Denim collection.
The chambray is something I picked up at Fabric Depot a couple years ago. Fabric Depot consistently has a nice selection of chambray and other shirting fabrics in the store. The selection online is smaller, but here is a good one at less than $8 per yard for 57" wide fabric (!!). If you are ever in Portland, make sure you visit Fabric Depot (and any of our other fantastic fabric stores).
