This was made using the #5 pattern piece from the Zipper Pouch templates document, but I had to shorten it about 3/4" because I only had a very small amount of the fabric.
The fabric is a Liberty of London cotton lawn in a print called Mitsi.
A piece of lingerie elastic has been sewn into the front as an embellishment. This is 3/8" elastic and you can find this scalloped edge version on etsy. I also have some lace lingerie elastic available here.
I've decided this technique works best for me if I sew the pieces to a base. Here I'm sewing it to a piece of flannel:
