The lazy, petulant child inside me (aka: Little Shelly Webster) wants to skip the weekly recap, but here goes!
A new bag pattern is available to make this bag:

Hurry, hurry...sale price ends tomorrow morning.
Yesterday I made this Little Pouch:

It's been ages since I've used a button and elastic loop closure, but I wanted to use a button. Traditional button holes can be hard to manage on some of these small things--or at least that is what I tell myself--so I never think to use one. Maybe I'll try out a button hole sometime and see if my perception matches reality.
I also added a tiny patch pocket to the lining:

I added it after sewing the darts...mistake, but not a bad one. It was more challenging to attach it after the darts where in place, but it wasn't impossible (obviously).
I'm destashing some of my collection of these fantastic YKK molded plastic separating zippers:

These zippers are great for larger accessories. The large teeth really show off the zipper in a neat way, and they zip up and down so smoothly.
To shorten them, trim the teeth off around the zipper area where you'll need to sew. These teeth are large and can't be sewn through, but they are super easy to cut away. Leave some tape so you have something to sew!
These are available in the following colors:
