Sample Sale - Ticking Grocery Bags (Sold)

There are two more samples for today sold -thanks! and both are grocery bags in the same fabrics, but different sizes. 

Since they a matching pair, they are both available here in this post.  One is the medium size and one is the large size from the Grocery Bag pattern.

The exterior is blue ticking and the lining is a print from Kokka:

The exterior fabric is turquoise ticking and the lining is a pretty Japanese fabric with a red floral & polka dot print:

Sample Sale - Secret Pocket Envelope Clutch (Sold)

Today this pouch is available as a sample.  Sold - Thanks!  This is Size 2 from the Secret Pocket Envelope Clutches pattern.  It is a good size for many different ereaders. 

The fabric is a Robert Kaufman print from several years ago called Vera's Garden.  It's lined in pink gingham. 

I added fleece to the A piece and it caused some minor problems getting the snap studs installed.  The pattern doesn't call for fleece on A, but I had already cut it out, so I went ahead and used it.  The puffiness made it hard to get the snaps on and one stud had to be removed and reinstalled (more than once).  So there is a small hole in the fabric inside the front pocket from the original placement of the snap prongs.  It's small and I applied some fray check so it doesn't get any bigger.

Usually when I make these pintucks I just wing it and hope it works out.  It usually does. 

But having to figure out the logistics each time slows me down, so today I figured out a method for calculating the fabric, how wide to space them, etc. 

I'll write it down in the next few days and take a few photos to demonstrate.  Stay tuned!
