Hey there sewing friends...today I have another new pattern from LBG Studio, and the finished bag is a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e!

Before I talk about the pattern and making my bag (red one), here is where you can order it.
So let me tell you more...
At the top of the post is the bag I made using the Convertible Clutch pattern. It turned out really nice!
Here is a blurry picture of me holding it:

I'm still trying to figure out how to take pictures of myself, and was trying to turn before the next shot of the self-timer. I took A LOT of photos and this was the best one!
I added pintucks to both sides of mine. They are hard to see in the larger photos, but they look super sweet in person. Here is a better view:

I'm going to show you how I made the pintucks, but in a separate blog post. Come back tomorrow for that info.
The other thing I did differently than the pattern, was I used fusible fleece on the lining pieces (instructions are for using bottom weight fabrics like twill, denim, canvas, etc.). It worked just fine, but it did make sewing the handle piece a little tricky with all the layers, and the change in thickness between the center of the handles and the bag body.
After a couple wobbly starts, I got out my walking foot to topstitch the handles. Next time, if I use fleece or batting on the body, I'll try adding a piece of fleece or batting in the middle of the handle. Because of the change of terrain, my handles have puckers, and I think keeping them a more even thickness all the way around would have helped.
The pattern is easy to follow, and Vanessa writes her instructions in a friendly, casual way. I tend to be super matter of fact with my instructions, so it is refreshing to see how others write.
It only takes about 2 hours to make the bag, it doesn't use a lot of materials, and you don't need any special supplies. It's a winner.

Here is the inside. I haven't put my snap in yet because I can't find my Fray Check!
