Small Pink Wristlet

I've made some progress with this clutch.  Here is what will be the smallest size:

 

It has been a while since I made a wristlet strap and I've simplified it on this one.  Usually I make them with a D ring attachment for the clasp, but this one just has a loop.

Since the ends of the loop are sewn next to each other, rather than stacked on top one another, it makes it easier to sew.  When they are stacked it can get tricky if you already have a bunch of layers to sew through. If you want to add a strap to the Zip Pocket Pouches this would probably work really well.  

The fabric is this Japanese cotton fabric:

Works Progressed

Here are two things that are no longer WIP (work in progress) projects, but have fully progressed to the finished stage!

Below is the inside--I didn't pleat the inside.  It makes it easier to sew since all pieces attached to the zipper are now flat.

This is one of those things I've been thinking about making for a few years.  It is scary how fast time goes (or maybe it is scary how slow I go?)! 

It was fun to make and took only 10 minutes and some tiny scraps of fabric. The design might need some improvement.  I'm going to try it out and see how well it works. 

 

 

 

Curio - Upholstery in Pond

I love this print called Upholstery in Pond from the Curio collection by Basic Grey for Moda.  It comes in five colorways, and it is hard to decide which one I like the most!  Here are links to the other colors:

At first I thought this fabric was upholstery, or home dec weight fabric, since it has "upholstery" in the title.  But it seems to be regular quilting weight cotton.
