One of my neighbors at work needed a place to store a very large painting overnight, so she put it in my space and I gave her a key.  The painting would go back where it belonged in the morning, so I never even really knew it was there.  But there was some evidence that a visitor had stopped by:

I had just washed some new fabric and had it in a stack on the table with this print on top.  Haha...obviously I'm not the only one who thinks this fabric from Moda's Max and Whiskers collection is cute.

Aqua Ditty Bag

This little one turned out so cute in this fabric.  I'm very excited about these little bags! 

Today I'm going to get more zippers, and then I'll start taking pictures for the pattern.  The pattern text is mostly written, so it shouldn't be long until it is ready. 

Big Bloom Fabric Flower Tutorial

Waaay back in May of last year I made a silk flower, and several people asked about a tutorial. Well I finally finished the tutorial for making this giant, gorgeous bloom!  You can download the pdf here:

This is a really big flower, but of course you can scale it down in a variety of ways:

• Make the pieces smaller
• Sew the petals together closer together
• Only use the small petals

It would make a big statement on a bag.  Or you can do like I did, and add an eyelet to the back and hang them on the wall. 

Pardon the messy stitching on the back.  That can be covered with another piece of wool, or avoided all together by carefully hiding your stitches in the wool.

Mini Daisy Dots Orange Ditty Bag

Here is the smallest ditty bag.  It is pretty darn cute.

The fabric I used for this one is called Mini Daisy Dots and it is from the Spring Street fabric collection by Carolyn Gavin.

This little one was slightly challenging to make, so I'm going to make a few minor changes and see if I can't make it easier to sew.  The two larger sizes are not hard at all.  Here are all three stacked up:
