The other thing I forgot to mention in my sewing review is the Quilt As You Go scrap quilt. It was supposed to be done in September, but let's just revise that to January.
At this point all the blocks are sewn, and more than half are quilted. I really want to use scraps as much as possible for this quilt--including scraps of batting. Yeah, I keep those too.
On the last block I quilted, I used two pieces of batting butted up against one another, and that worked fine. But now it is to the point where I will need to use multiple scraps to complete one block.
I'm a little concerned the smaller pieces will shift or get bunched up if they aren't somehow joined together before quilting. Zig-zagging them together crossed my mind, but that seems like a lot of work. Then I saw this:
No, it isn't toilet paper. It is fusible batting tape you can use to join pieces of batting together!
Has anyone used this stuff? Should I get excited about it, or are there ways to join batting pieces that don't require buying special products?
