Weekend Sewing Goals - Laptop Sleeve

Here we are once again at the weekend...since it is Halloween maybe everyone is busy doing non-sewing things. 

I would like to get at least one project finished this weekend. 

This print came in the mail today, and I'm excited to use it:

It is going to be used to make a laptop sleeve like this one:

I also want to make the Skirt Bag in a green tweed, but I've been to all the local stores that carry wool and none of them have quite what I'm envisioning.  If you know where to find an olive green tweed like the one used in this bear, please let me know.

There was a point about 7:00 PM where I thought I might need yet another day to finish this pattern, but I got it done!

Almost Done!

Ok, I know I said Monday the new bag pattern would be ready, but apparently what I really meant to say was Wednesday. 

I'm still working on it and have entered into burnout territory for the day.  Lila (dog) is staring at me from the corner, wondering why I've been talking to myself (reading the instructions out loud) all day.  So maybe it is time for a break from the computer. 

Today I did make the bag using this fabric pictured.  It is one of those prints that I can't decide if I love it or not.  It is pretty wild and an interesting mix of colors.  It is called Violet Floral Impressions and is from the Enchanted Rainforest collection from Maywood Studio.
